I am originally from Montreal, Canada, and I lived in NYC for 5 years. I have an MD and an MPH and I work at a pharmaceutical company. I have been pretty bad about the blogging lately (has it really been 2 years??), probably because I got married, changed jobs, and moved a few times.
I've been in Montreal for the last five days for my brother's wedding. It was a beautiful event, as were the weddings of each of my siblings over the last 6 years. He is the fourth of us five children to get married, leaving just me, the middle child, as the last one to tie the knot. So that even if I were to get married, my wedding would be quite anticlimactic-the same old shpeil. All the more reason to get married on a tropical island.

I think at this point the only way you can outdo your siblings is to go on a reality show (survivor would fit the tropical island theme) and marry one of the contestants on national tv.
Cool! Then we can dance the Mezinke in front of millions of viewers!
